theres a thunder in our hearts baby so much hate for the ones we love TAG: DIMITRI OUTFIT:CLICKTHONE LAST THING: FINALLY.
Zen finished crunching on a few kernels of popcorn and leaned her head back onto the messy couch that barely had room for her considering that her clothes took up most of the space. A clothes hanger fell to the floor giving her a scare and she jumped in the chair hearing it hit the marble floor. A low growl escaping her lips the moment she realized what it was. A hand went to her chest as it felt her heartbeat race; maybe watching a horror movie wasn't the best idea for her. he never really watched t.v before she had come to America and all of a sudden she had fallen in love with scary movies. Well , some scary movies any way. Ones that weren't so far fetched , ones that didn't mock the supernatural and ones that seemed realistic. Zen especially like the ones where humans themselves were the monster. Zen's hand fell to her side on the couch as she placed the bowl of what was popcorn but now a bunch of kernels on the table. Hide and Seek was the movie that she had chosen a few hours ago. It seemed like a good idea then, but now she was drop dead scared. The countryside already gave her the creeps now she was dead scared of it. The name Charlie never bothered her until now. Funny how things worked out. Even though it did scare her a little , she loved those kind of movies where she didn't know what would happen next. A horror movie about humans instead of "monsters" some ignorant simple minded human tried to put together. She was one of those "monsters" and she hated movies that perpetrated the supernatural like they had no self control. Zen's mother had never allowed her child to believe that she could ever be a monster - that being a werewolf was a blessing not a curse. It was easier for someone that had been born a werewolf to believe that - but someone that had been turned. Zen believed they had a harder time with accepting it.
Zen was always a girl looking for a little thrill and excitement in life and she seemed like she was always looking in the wrong place. A horror movie seemed fun and carefree and now it was scaring her to death maybe that's why it was called a horror film. A unsatisfied face fell onto her features as she looked aimlessly into the darkness of the television screen facing her. With a humph she stood up dusting the crumbs off her jeans as she wondered toward her bed in her room. She closed the door and stared at the large mess of clothes lying around , all of them clean she just never got around to putting them away. Her light eyes looked over at her clock. It was only noon and no one was home. No fun to be had. No one to talk to and no one to spend time with. She hated days like this , when she was in the house alone. It was so terribly boring and she always was stuck on what to do next.
Maybe a good run in the forest would do her some good ? She could clear her mind and besides she loved being her wolf form. It let her feel free and in her wolf form she didn't have those invisible chains holding her back. Faking being normal just to keep the ignorant in there bliss. But she would wait. Wait for Dimitri to get home so she could tell him what she was doing. Zen could have easily wrote him a note , but knowing him he'd already be looking for her when he arrived home and walk right past it. So with that she started to clean up a little. These were one of the days she had off at the dance studio , there were no productions in town for her to do either and she just had loads of free time on her hands.
Zen didn't feel a day over twenty six but she was really sixty five , a lot of the younger werewolves in the pack looked up to her. Well , everyone admired her a little. She was a humble but fair soul , that hard to come by.
tell me that we both matter dont we

[style=background-color:#56704B; color:#E6DDBC; padding:10px; width:430px; font-family:georgia; font-size:10px; text-align: justify;] Dimitri watched as the sun slowly began its decent from the highest point in the sky. It would take several hours until the moon was released from its daytime cage, until it called forth all things wild and free. The moon had always been Dimitri's friend, it had released his body from the cage that he considered his human form. It had brought forth the true nature of the man that so often was misunderstood by the society he was thrown into. So many of his species considered the moon a curse for it caused their bodies to itch and burn until they gave into the need to transform. This was such a perverse view in Dimitri's opinion, the moon had only given him more strength and power never a weakness or curse. But the moon was not in the sky yet and instead this pale sun took dominion over the sky, the light chased away all things that went 'bump' in the night, or at least that is what the naive mind thought. Jumbled in a world full of humans Dimitri's supernatural existence would evermore be a secret well hidden. The human mind was to fragile to know the true existence of werewolves, vampires and shifters. He could only imagine what would happen if to many of the humans knew of his existence. It would be a witch hunt. Perhaps one day the world would change and the supernatural world could crawl out of the bedroom closet or behind the shadows of the moon and truly live besides the other species of this world. However Dimitri doubted greatly that this would happen in his life time.
Twitching his ear back in the direction of several of his pack members Dimitri gave his shoulders a quick roll to loosen the tension before turning back to the three large wolves that stood behind him also watching the pale moon sink in the sky. Breathing in deeply his nostrils flared with each of the individual werewolves standing before him but the scent was so much stronger of a lingering blood scent. Small signs where littered all over every werewolf and the general thoughts and emotions coming from the three before him made even Dimitri's heart pound. The hunt had gone well and the two vampires had been taken by complete surprise. The taste of the female vampires blood still lingered on the back of Dimitri's tongue. Dimitri despised the blood suckers and when he had a chance to secretly rid the world of a few he did not need persuading. The human death toll would be lower these next few weeks without the blood thirst creatures running about. Tail curled high over his back Dimitri walked between the three his low growls of approval rumbling in his deep chest. "Tonight we shall rest easy knowing these demons wont be preying on the people of Bad Rock. Come let us return back to our family." There was no need for audible speech between the werewolves for they shared a bond of the moon that allowed them to hear each others thoughts and emotions but also to communicate with one another.
Taking the lead the Dimitri raced forward the cold wind biting at his nose and eyes. His thick white and grey coat kept him safe from the biting wind however and the chilled temperatures made him feel more alive and willing to run free. Large paws carried him over the frozen snow his large nails leaving indents in the snow as they ran. It was a beautiful site to behold truly as small band of werewolves raced through the snow, causing a white cloud to rise up behind them as their powerful bodies surged forward. However they had to slow down quickly as they reached the boarder of the forest, luckily the Manor in which they called home was located on the edges of the forest so it made coming and going easy but they still where required to transform back into human form. Dimitri initiated his phase with ease, long ago he had put aside the pain of the transition and instead embraced the change. Some of his kind where not as skilled and phasing between human and wolf. Some required time to still the predatory heart inside and to brace for the painful change. Dimitri did not wait for the others however as he removed a pair of jeans from the small hollowed out tree that most of the pack members threw extra clothing when they ran out in the forest. This particular pair was to big for Dimitri but he did not require a fashion statement to return to his home. His bare feet broke through the snow as he headed for the Manor choosing the back entrance.
Heat embraced him welcoming as he closed the door behind him. Smiling he looked around the open room he now stood in. Scents of food leaked from the kitchen and the strong aromas of pack members lingered in every inch of the manor. However his nose was searching for a certain scent. Inhaling deeply as the scent came to him Dimitri could feel his muscles immediately begin to relax from the hunt. She smelt of fresh broken pine needles and a dash of sweet vanilla. Walking through the manor his half dressed form moved with an inhuman grace, his bare feet making not a noise on the ground below him. Following her scent trail he soon found himself walking up the stairs down several hallways and finally coming to a stand still in the large room that he and his mate resided in. The room itself was much like a large suite fill a large bedroom, a small living room and a large bathroom. It was the largest room in the Manor and deserving so considering this was the Alpha domain. Listening silently he followed her mentally as she walked around cleaning, her thoughts broadcasting her emotions. She was restless, she wanted to run and hunt. Shame filled him that he had not taken her on the hunt but he had been worried she would question his intentions. The strongest emotion rolling off her however was fear. 'This woman and her horror movies.' Shaking his head Dimitri smirked as he placed his hand on the door and pushed it open. Of course a Werewolf could hide their emotions and feelings from another but it was much harder to do when you had been mated to someone, Dimitri tried to leave her thoughts and emotions alone most times but he couldn't help but 'ease drop' sometimes.
The moment Dimitri entered the room his presence enveloped every corner of the space his scent mixing with the sweet one of Zehenya, laughter played in his eyes as he looked around the chaos of a room. Clothes where thrown all over the room. "Laundry?" His voice was rough after having not used it for several hours and his throat was sore from the consumption of raw muscle and bone. Walking towards Zehenya he ran his hand across her lower back affectionately. He was in a good mood and instead of his cold exterior he was choosing to be warm to his mate. It was a rare occurrence but there was nothing better then a vampire hunt to put Dimitri in a good mood. "Where you watching those horror movies? Small talk. Thats all this was. But Dimitri just wanted to hear her voice, he loved this woman truly. Though he was miserable at showing it and afraid she felt nothing for him the stronger emotion of love dominated most other feelings towards Zen. Walking towards the bedroom he noticed that the laundry had been thrown into two different piles his and hers. Picking through his own he balled his shirts and other random clothing items and shoved them in his drawers, he really didnt care if they became wrinkled. "How are you today Zehenya? What have you done today?" Deep brown eyes searched out the beautiful woman and held her in his gaze as he watched her move about waiting for a response.

Running and hunting always calmed Zen down. She could get out of her human self and really fully accept the wolf in her. It was the days that she couldn't shift that really bothered he the most , it was like this itching feeling she got inside herself. A part of her wanting to escape and just let herself free. The wolf in her felt trap days like these. She was indeed very restless , Zen felt stuck behind these walls and all she needed .. was a good run. Perhaps later she would run with some of the other females in the pack , the men were already out. Even though Zen felt left behind , he wasn't upset by it. Along with the need to run , she also needed time to herself. Of course she loved being in the manor with the others , she loved the busy feeling she got every time she arrived home. The manor as always warm when she was just getting back from work , a run or just being out. There was always someone to brighten her spirits or their were always little pups running around. When Zen was in a bad mood , she would just walk down stairs and help with anything.
There were days when Zen really missed home , really missed her family. Her mother and her father , she missed Russia. She missed the scenery. She missed being able to run the frigid mountains , to the rivers through the forest. Those were the best of times. Those were the times she would remember her whole life but it seemed now that they were so far away. So far and she would never get a chance to go back. Zen prayed that this wasn't true. She prayed that she would get a chance to go home again. Her real home. If only for a while , that would feed her hunger for it. Maybe that would put her at ease.
Zehyenya usually had a good habit of blocking everyone out of her head. She had down that back at home when her heart had been so broken that she felt like she wanted to just lay down and die. She had done it when she had first came over , just to hide from Dimitri the pain she was truly feeling. She could only do that for so long though with Dimitri , he was her alpha . He was her mate and after being with him it was harder to hide anything from him anymore. The pain from her past love had simmered down , but it was still there and now these other feelings were swelling up. Sometimes she felt bad for even thinking about fully loving Dimitri , really letting him in Was it possible to love someone new , while hanging on to another ? She doubted it but each day with Dimitri was something new. She never knew what to expect with the werewolf. Some days he could be sweet and other days he could be a ass. You could never really tell until he opened his mouth to speak. Then you could guess how the day would go.
Cleaning up , she picked up on him entering the house. He was happy and a little prideful. Zen raised a eyebrow as she kept cleaning though , the mess really was going to bother to no end if she didn't do anything about it. Soon the smell of him clouded her senses and though she didn't want to , she smiled. He smelled like the outdoors , not in a bad way but the way where she had wished she had gone along too. But there was something else. Blood ? Blood from a vampire ? The thirst for the exact same thing burned her throat. Zen hated vampires and she was a bit proud of her mate for the hunt. Though she was a tad bit jealous.
Yes , laundry. It seems that my clothes were making her room look cluttered. , she turned to look at him. Her brown eyes sparkling with amusement. She bowed her head gently out of acknowledgement and went back to folding. He ran his hand across her lower back and she shivered slightly , before straightening a bit. Turning on her heel so she could follow him. A lopsided grin on her elegant features. He asked her about horror movies and she giggled slightly. Tell me , how did you know ? Reading me again. For shame lover. , she glared at him playfully before she smiled again. She called him lover when she was in good spirits. For the most part it was true , he was her lover. Her mate. She just wished she could love him like he wanted. She just was letting herself.
He asked her about her day and her expression softened. It was good. I am ... a bit restless though. I need to run. But I spent most of the day with the others and the pups. , she told him with a nod. Zen respected his choices when it came to the will being of the pack. He was a good leader and if she could say so - that was something she admired in him greatly. Dimitri. Tell me about the hunt , yes ? I can smell it on you. , she teased as she sat him front of him. A pile of clothes in her lap , as she licked her lips slightly. Her brown eyes looking up at the alpha make.

All members of the Drago Pack where welcomed here and encouraged to find their state of residence here. Of course Dimitri did not require them to be a park of the Manor if joining the pack but more often then naught the pack members chose to live amongst each other. Humans would never understand the need and desire to belong to a group as closely knit as a pack. Werewolves where different to their very genetic makeup. Created to crave a family or pack the wolf gene that dominated half the human brain had always brought the species together. Loner werewolves where usually outcasts of society because they where not welcome or wanted in a pack. It was inevitable that werewolves where social creatures and went out of their way to seek out their own and claim territory. A soft smile pulled on the corner of Dimitri's lips as a loud echo of thoughts abruptly tore into his conscious. He could feel his brothers heart beat as the for a moment looked through the other werewolves eyes. He was in love. Yes the two had made it very clear they wished to be mated, and soon they would share the ceremony on the next full moon. Love. The emotion was still so foreign to Dimitri. It was strange that a eighty five year old werewolf had never fallen truly in love, or had even indulged the young emotions at all. Of course Dimitri absolutely believed in the power of love, and by such odd mental links he could share in it with his brothers and sisters. But in all actuality he had never allowed himself to feel the emotion himself. He had never fallen head over heels for someone which always surprised everyone. Of course he was given tons of attention as a young male but he never focused on the women it was always about family, tradition, and the pack. Above all else he had to live up to his fathers expectations and he had to be strong for his pack; if love got in the way then he did not want it. Dimitri however would be naive to say he did not share powerful emotions for Zehenya, he was quit fixed by the woman but he had always supposed his 'mate' would just be a position to fill. He never thought he would ever feel anything for her, this Zehenya was always throwing him through a loop. When Zehenya was first given to Dimitri he was still young and paid no mind to it, because he had always been raised by his father to believe that women simply served their purpose and carried on the bloodline. To an extent Dimitri can be cold to the opposite sex if they feel as though they have a low intelligence level or serve any purpose but in fact to carry on the bloodlines. He however does not hold his fathers same view points, and this can mostly be accredited to his dear mate; who in fact has always caused him to put more value in the opposite sex. There where many things that kept Zehenya and Dimitri together, but perhaps the strongest reason that Dimitri was so devoted to this particular woman was the fact that she shared his same values, and the same deep passion for their species also boiled in her blood. He never had to doubt her desires when it came to the Drago Pack. She never once had failed him nor faltered when it came to making hard decisions. From the beginning she had made it clear that she would do whatever was necessary to make this pack thrive and to create a better city and perhaps eventually world for werewolves alike. Zehenya had won over but mostly earned Dimitri's respect and he would always trust his mate. Of course he was still very cold and stand offish with her at times but if she asked a question of him he would give her the full honesty. This small happy creature that Dimitri had been mated with had always given him reasons to change, which as everyone knows is not something he does lightly. He could not claim he loved Zehenya because his heart wont allow him to, so many walls have been built up that duty and loyalty is more important, but it seems as though the large brute of a man cannot help but climb those walls every now and then and ravel in the beauty of the four letter emotion. Pulling his thoughts and emotions back into check he pushed away the others that surrounded them and focused purely on the beautiful woman moving around the room. His eyes watched every graceful swish of her hips, and the silent steps she took around the room. She was naturally endowed by grace and silence coming from her werewolf genes but not even the most refined werewolf could move like Zehenya. Her long dancer legs had a unheard rhythm and each step a purpose. Dimitri had often times watched unseen as she danced about her studio, he had been absolutely taken a back when he first went to 'check up' on his mate when they where still a new couple. He had thought the dancing thing was foolish and was about to tell her so...but then he witness the magic she was able to do with her body. It was like she was in a constant movement, one moment her human body imitating the thrill of the hunt, the next the joys of sharing memories with the pack and of course the best...her moon dance as he liked to call it. When she became completely lost in her dancing and it seemed as though some supernatural power was making her dance. The small head bow was not lost to Dimitri and he smiled softly dipping his head to the alpha female in return. He always admired the fact that she chose to respect him even in the most casual situations. Her voice finally broke the silence between the two and he enjoyed the soft whimsical notes her voice gave off. 'We could like in a room full of dirty laundry my darling so long as you where there to be disgusted with me.' As soon as the thought even began to form Dimitri locked it away so not even Zen could find it. Her next comment snapped him out of his goddess admiring and he could not help but be slightly embarrassed. Yes he had absolutely been 'reading' her. And perhaps not so secretively either. A million small excuses ran through his mind such as the horror movie case on the television, or the smell of popcorn in the room but he could not skirt the issue. Chuckling he ran his fingers through his ragged brown hair. "What would you like me to tell you my dear? That yes in fact I was reading your strong emotions of paranoia and fear? Or that I was in fact ease dropping on my mate?" His words where dripping with playfulness as he attempted to turn away the blame from himself. The word 'lover' still lingered in the back of his mind as he watched her hands fold the laundry thrown about. Yes he was in fact a genius when it came to 'loving' a woman. Perhaps not emotionally but when it came to physical touch in this way he had not been naive when promised to Zehenya. Though those rare moments when Dimitri and Zehenya actually 'loved' one another did happen they where extremely rare and it was usually when Dimitri was in a very animal like mind frame, or perhaps even when he was extremely emotional (rage, sadness, happiness). Breathing in deeply he smirked as she sat down in front of him on the bed. They where only inches apart now and the heat coming from her body brushed lightly against his nude upper body. "Ah my lover it is you know that is reading me." A low growl rumbled in his throat his lips pulled back in a mock scowl. He often times played like this, most did not understand the signs of aggression but it was the only way that Dimitri knew how to respond playfully. A underlying feeling of guilt began to stir in his chest as he felt the longing and restlessness seeping off Zen but he quickly depressed the feeling. He after all was very prideful and would not allow this woman to know he felt guilty about anything. "The hunt. Well it was successful. We managed to kill both vampires and dispose of their remains." Disposed of simply meaning 'devoured' and Dimitri could still taste the fading blood in the back of his throat. "Allow me to show you my dear." It wasn't a question, but Dimitri knew that Zehenya could appreciate the thoughts, feelings and memories. Leaning forward he placed cupped her small cheek in his hand and pulled her face up to meet his eyes. Touch always made the mental connection stronger, and by pushing his mental boundaries away he could allow Zehenya to actually see and relive the memories. Rushing trees. Snow and biting wind. Blood lust. Dimitri rushed forward his body rippling with each leap and bound. His body moved with a swift deadliness that not even the fastest vampire could hope to escape. He could feel the hot breath of his brothers on his flanks as he lead the hunt. They where close. There! The blonde female rushed from behind a tree her scent reeking of fear. A piercing howl broke from Dimitri's muzzle and he dug down deep with his haunches before leaping through the air. His front paws found her shoulders first but his sharp canines soon grabbed hold of her neck. The breaking of skin and seeping of blood made him go lustful for the creatures death. Tearing. Biting. Ripping. Then it was all over. Blood covered most of Dimitri's frame as he stood in the circle of the females remains. The other three werewolves had also killed the male. Growling in victory Dimitri lowered his muzzle the hunger burning inside him. Devour.A rich growl brought Dimitri back to reality as he pulled his thoughts away, his heart was pounding in his chest and his muscles quivered longing to kill and devour once more. Looking down at his mate Dimitri could not help what of course came next. His emotions and hormones pounding he grabbed Zehenya quickly by the arm and pulled her up to meet his body. His lips finding her own and his hands pulling her tight. Devouring her taste another growl echoed from Dimitri as he took his dominance over the beautiful woman. However just as quickly as he had grabbed her Dimitri snapped back into reality. Wincing he stepped back from Zehenya his face guilt stricken. Her taste was all over him now and he was quit terrified he had upset her. "Zen...I am sorry. Please dont be upset. I lost control of myself." Her nickname came softly from his lips and he diverted his gaze. Dimitri's muscles where still twitching and the high of the hunt and successful kill where radiating from him mentally and physically, perhaps Zehenya was not the only restless one. OOC: Hope you dont mind the kiss in the end!! IF you dont like it I will totally take it out!!! And I just had way to much muse for him in this post...lol obviously explains the length! talking text thinking text [/style][/style]

The manor was always filled with life. If it was one thing that Zen loved it was coming home to it when her days had been rough , when it seemed like she wanted to break down. There was always a friendly face in their pack. Zehenya kept her emotions and thoughts to herself more then half the time , shutting her mind off to the others in the pack. Well everyone but Dimitri , he had this way of at least letting her mental state be at ease with him when he heart just couldn't be. The only difference between this pack and her last one was , she was the alpha female an she felt like they were more of a family. Of course she had been close to many in her pack back home. She had friends , she had a family but this one just felt different. With Dimitri as their alpha , as there leader .. Zen knew they could do the impossible. Everyone within the pack was all about the strive to make them better. Make things better for werewolves period. This was what she wanted. This was what she loved. At first Zen had no want or need to be a alpha for this pack. But once she arrived she took on the role honorably. Her parents were proud of her , she was slightly proud of herself. Being a alpha was a full time job , it was cause for her full attention , her time an her wisdom. Those were the things she added on to the pack. Zehenya was more the just a pretty face and she had proved that time after time. She was just as much as a important part of the pack as her husband , no one would deny that. She was fierce but fair. She was wise beyond her years and she was understanding. Most of all she wanted what was best for all of them.
Love wasn't something that was foreign to Zen. She had been in love once , what seemed like a long time ago. To a young werewolf about her age. She was hoping they spent the rest of their lives together , but they were torn apart by this promise that her parents had made her for. She was to be wed and mated to Dimitri. She wanted to run away but he had left her. Her love had left her and she had a feeling that her parents had something to do with it. She became numb and a little part of her hated Dimitri even if he didn't have a thing to o with it either. She felt lost , she felt abandoned and she felt unlovable. Maybe this was why her parents were giving her away ? Because no one else would want her ? There were so many questions and not enough answers. Of course she was pretty enough , she was smart enough . So what was wrong with her. Zen hid these things when she first got to America from Dimitri. Then it had been easier to hide her emotions , she had already blocked off so many. But sooner or later he ha gotten to her. Had gotten her trust , her admiration that she let the mental walls she had up down from time to time for him. More then most of the time she felt sae enough to let her thought linger long enough for him to pick them up. The same went for her emotions , she was afraid to let him in. She had spoken to her mother about this. What would he have thought about everything that happened before she had arrived ? She didn't believe that he would have any sympathy for her being in love with another man. Neither did she think he cared or wanted to hear such things from his wife. What man would ?
Zen respected and honored her husband. Dimitri and Zen had the same values , the same wants for the pack. They were probably this good together because of those things. All the wants that Dimitri wanted , she wanted as well. She backed him he needed it , she protected the pack , she helped with whatever needed help with She was always willing to be around when he needed her and even though he would never come to her to vent usually ; when he did she was willing to listen. Even if they had been arguing the day , minutes or hours before. That didn't matter when they needed each other. Dimitri was a good mate and at times when Zen was alone she would feel like she was doing something wrong. Because despite all te things she did , she always felt like he wanted and needed more. She wasn't oblivious to it all , she picked up on certain things from her mate.
She had been born with this artistic ability , whether it had been painting or dancing. Dancing was just something that stuck with her. She was good at it , good would be a word she used just to stay humble. Anyone could tell by that. She knew that Dimitri thought of it as just some hobby at first , but one day he started to have some kind of fondness of watching her. Of course she knew this , she noticed it and she did love his attention. He was so good about the way he was with her , that often felt non deserving. He had told her about this "moon dance " of hers and he liked it. At first Zen thought the man paid no attention to her at all but it seemed he did more then she had been aware. Just like now when he knew about the horror films , she blushed slightly.
She smiled for a second as he looked at him. Well , I must say that I really want to hear both. But if I am wrong please to me other wise. , she teased him as she turned on her heel to pick up more clothes. The silver dress she was wearing moved gracefully with her every move. Her brown eyes gleaming with excitement. Zen watched as he put his clothes away , stuffing them into drawers and she smiled again. Of course she would just go in and rearrange things perfectly for him , just because that he been something she did from the beginning. She knew he didn't care where his clothes were as long as they were in the drawer. But that was a little thing she didn't mind doing for her mate. Me reading you ? Oh no no no , never ! , she joked lightly as she tilted her head to the side. Sitting down , she looked up at him.
He came close and placed his hands on her cheeks , her brown eyes meeting his. These were one of the times where she felt herself feeling something for him. He had been gentle with his movements before the memory hit her. It as rejuvenating ! She felt like she was there to and once it was over , she growled slightly as well. Good job husband ! I am proud ! , she was enthused. But now her heart was pounding , she felt like she had been apart of the hunt and a part of her wished she had been. Before being a alpha female she had been such a good hunter one of the best in the pack before Drago. She was swift , she was smart and she was a natural hunter.
Dimitri grabbed her arm and pulled her close , Zen looked at him wide eyed before he pressed his lips against hers. Dominating the small woman , a part of her was upset the other part of her liked it. She kissed him back but just as fast the the kiss came he pulled away , a soft whimper escaping her lips as he heart pounded in her chest. Zen stood in front of him , her head down before she looked back up. Her brown eyes meeting his gaze again. Hesitating , she placed her hands on his chest. Standing on her tip toes she pecked his lips before moving around him. You shouldn't be .. sorry. I liked it .. , her voice was softer now. She couldn't be rough with her mate , but she was feeling the same way he had been feeling. She was restless too , on top of everything else. Walking behind him she placed one hand around his waist , wile ducking under his arm to look at him. Can we run later ? Can you take me ?> , she asked him.
She loved her husband in his wolf form , she loved the way he moved and how the others followed him so effortlessly. He was a true alpha and you can tell it ran in his blood. His movements were swift , they were clean and they were fierce. Zen remembered when she first saw him and how in awe she was of it all.

[style=background-color:#56704B; color:#E6DDBC; padding:10px; width:430px; font-family:georgia; font-size:10px; text-align: justify;] Dimitri could remember like it was yesterday the first time he laid his eyes on Zehenya on American soil. Of course he had seen her when they where young and still living in Russia; and of course his mother tried to get him to associate with, but there where more important things to be doing as a young werewolf adult then chasing beautiful women around. However it was a completely different ball game when Zehenya came to him on an airplane. The whole ordeal had been completely awkward and somewhat medieval. This was one thing that Dimtir was learning about his face especially the older generation; they played by a set of ancient guidelines but there was no changing the social norms in this culture. The moment that high heeled foot stepped off the plane Dimitri swore he loss his ability to communicate and all he could do was smile politely and laugh. Yes the idiot laughed quit loudly when she spun around to see him and nearly landed on her face. It had been funny, anyone could have admitted that but Dimitri hated himself for that interaction. He was so stunned that this beautiful woman was...well his. Of course Dimitri would never treat his wife like she was a piece of property but the way he was raised the original Russian pack had always treated the alpha females as such. Dimitri had in this way matured from the old system by giving his mate so much power and reign over the pack. She was a good match of him after all.
His mother and Zehenya's family had done well. After all the Dragomirov family and the Baburin family had always been very close and when Andrei was kicked out of the pack they felt the need to ally with one another; and there was no better way to do this then to unite the two eldest of the family. Of course Dimitri was the only son to Andrei and he quickly earned the approval and eventual title as his fathers heir but he would never have guessed that becoming alpha required you to have a mate. When the time had come he quickly wrote to his mother and spoke of the arrangements that needed to be made and it was no sooner then three weeks that he picked up Zehenya from the airport. Her accent had made his heart sick for home and he wanted to pull her and himself right back on the plane; but there was nothing there for him anymore. His mother had passed away shortly after he became heir and mated it almost seemed as though she was holding off to see her son made the alpha of Drago pack. She had always been so kind and loving to her son, even through all his strange personality developments and his at times cruel treatment of her. Dimitri would always regret not arranging her arrival in the States.
Standing across the room now from Zehenya his heart pounding and adrenaline racing through his blood stream he attempted to take a deep breath. Would his mother be proud of him still? Would she brag about the son that could not make his mate love him? Would she tell her sisters about how their nephew had married the most beautiful woman in all of Russia and she hated him? Dimitri growled softly at the thoughts running through his mind, he could feel the barriers coming up between his and Zehenya's mind. He could feel him pushing her away in preparation from the anger that would come thrashing his way. He knew this situation well, after all it had caused many arguments when he had acted so physical with her and she did not appreciate it. It was a coping mechanism to withdraw into himself when it came to his mate but this all stopped in a flash of a second when he began to reverse the situation in his mind. 'Did she kiss me back? Or was that my imagination?' The male stood very still as his mind tried to make sense of the kiss that the two had just shared. It was rather depressing that kissing had become such a shaky ground for the two but it was unknown territory, someday s he relished her touch and others he wanted her to go stand in a corner and shut up.
I liked it. Her words echoed through his mind causing him to loose all coherent thought. What was it about her words that made him so crippled? Looking at her his brown eyes searched for some sign of trickery, some twitch of a lip or something to give her away. She was not so easy to read in her human form; but in wolf form she seemed to be like an open book to Dimitri. Growling in frustration he could feel his shoulders bunching and tensing. The heat of the hunt was slowly leaving his body as he thought of other things. But that first step of hers made him tense, nearly flinching as she walked towards him. Wanting to flee the room Dimitri put himself on defensive straightening his back and looking her hard in the face. If this was going to be an argument about how she liked it but it was wrong then he was ready for it. Her hands touched his chest and the heat radiated through his core causing him to stiffen, however it was his undoing when her soft pouting lips met his own in a small kiss. Holding back every reaction in his body he allowed her to pull away from him. Was she toying with him? Her hand trailed around his body as she walked behind him her hand resting on his waist. Her palm against his bare waist made the hair on his neck stand up. Unable to stop himself Dimitri sighed and leaned hard into her hand, reaching behind him an pulling her flush up against his back side so that her body was close to his own.
Watching silently as she ducked under his arm he reciprocated by pulling her around to his chest once more. It was almost as if the two where in a dance. Just as Zehenya had her Moon dance, Dimitri had playfully once called their relationship the Cobra Dance. After all it was like dancing with a cobra, one moment it could be entrancing you and the next filling you with its poison. So which was it this time? Dimitri fought his every need to take control and dominance of the situation and instead allowed her to move around him. However his strong hand wrapped around her upper arm no longer allowing her out of his immediate circle of space. What where the emotions boiling up in his chest? Dimitri fought to understand himself as he watched the woman in front of him her long brown hair in somewhat of a mess from her lazy afternoon. The small wisps playing across her forehead and cheeks. Reaching up he pushed the curling stands away from her face. He was to afraid to touch her lips again but he longed to feel her touch. Bending down his large frame enveloped her own as he tucked his nose and chin into her neck inhaling deeply. The sweet smell of crushed pine needles soothed his racing heart. Why did things have to be so hard for these two? They where meant to be.
Her words where slightly muffled as she spoke into his ear about running, he could feel her lean muscles tensing at the thought of spending a night running beneath the moon. It was nearly a week before the next full moon but most of the pack was longing for a long night hunt and run through the forest. It was usually a monthly thing when the entire pack abandoned their human lives and residences for nearly two days and simply embraced the wolf. Dimitri's body longed for these days and unlike more civilized werewolves he spent quite a bit of time in his wolf form. Besides when he was the large white wolf things where simpler and none of this mattered anymore. Nuzzling her neck Dimitri inhaled before grumbling softly in response. "If it is the moons embrace your heart longs for my love then I shall give it to you." Pulling back Dimitri studied her for a moment before looking around the room once more. These walls had witnessed so many different mood swings he wondered why the paint hadn't withered and fallen off the walls. Running his fingers through her hair Dimitri smirked as he looked down at the small woman. "But to run with me requires speed, endurance and skill my dear. Do you have such skills?" His voice dropped low at the end almost into a growl as he spun his playful mocking. "Perhaps you should wait for the females and pups to run in the clearing. Those might suit your skill." The words where most definitely insulting but Dimitri could not help himself. He had dodged a bullet in the fact she was in a good mood and could not help but stoke the fire. Growling playfully he could feel the wolf threatening to come to the surface. His once deep brown eyes flashing the telltale sign of rich gold and yellow. If had been in wolf form he would have dropped to his elbows and stuck his rump in the air in the canine universal sign for play.

This was a man she was suppose to hate but his whole being intrigued her. The first encounter had been awkward to say the least , when she had spun around and almost lost balance. Something that rarely happened with her. He had laughed ! He had laughed right in her face and she couldn't have been anymore upset by this. She spoke just a few words , her accent still rich. As they went home she sat in silence. Her arms folded and her guard up. There had been no small talk , she said nothing. She felt herself pushing away from him even more then she had prepared herself for. Zen hated the old traditions , she hated the way the elders still did things. She was not a piece of property , she didn't want to be treated as such but she had already been shipped off to America hadn't she ? The traditions were still strong , they were still alive and they both were proof. Their families had been close , this was true. Her parents were very loyal to his parents and when she was younger she remembered meeting him. She had been a young werewolf and he a much older then her , well at that time she thought of him as much older. They met but she didn't think anything of it. Even though she remembered that face. She had swore he had been one of the most handsome werewolves she had ever met , but he had been to focused to getting where they were today to notice her. So in return she thought about him here and there , but neither one really actually paid attention to another. Zen understood now why this was so , he was just being focused and dealing with a woman ... well that could make you lose your focus. But what she didn't understand was why didn't she get to pick for herself to come here ? It was like her parents didn't care about her own happiness. Love didn't work like this ! This was backwards ! No one had known the inne battle she was struggling with when she first came here. For as long as she could remember she'd been hating herself. For months, for years, her entire life she hadn't given herself a break. She was so guilty, everything terrible that happened to her or anyone around her was so obviously her fault. Because she was wrong. Because she did wrong. Because she would never, ever be as good as she needed to be. Zen needed to prove something to her parents , that she could do this. That she wasn't a lost cause. Even if that meant losing herself. But soon it stopped slowly when she was with Dimitri. That feeling she had. Nobody had ever made her feel worth anything until he had. It was small, a flash of light in the darkness, probably because that's all she allowed herself to feel of it. But it was something, even if she held it at bay. It was something she'd never feel without him. But somehow she couldn't put that in words , she could form her lips to say those things. So when she was in high spirits , she tried to show him that he was important. Being here with him gave her some force she didn't know what to do with. It was so strong she could get lost in it, so horrible she wanted to run away from it. The way that she knew she hadn't done a thing to get this. She was beating herself over and over about it, that hate bubbling up, rising from some place in her that Dimitri somehow quieted. She could hear it though, the voice in her that told her she would ruin this. Her mindset, her intuition, the way her heart was programmed to make herself hurt. One way or another he could silence it. He could make her believe again, he could give her hope. But it was still fighting, even though it was being shut down more with every second she held him, it wasn't quite gone yet. Zen watched as he tensed up , but that was only to be expect. There were days where she would lash out at him for being so physical with her. Those were the days she had to remind him of his own strength. Sure , she liked it from time to time. But other times she felt her forgot how big he really was. But today she could relax , she liked it. She really did and there was nothing she was planning on lashing at him about ... yet. He let her waltz up behind him and wrap her arms around him , she giggle soft as he pulled her closer. Her hands gripping at his waist , as she snuggled against him slightly. These were one of the moments in their relationship that she liked, sometimes she felt like she could get use to it. When you're little, you have all the endless opportunity you could ever want. There are a million different ways your life can go, you hold that power and only you can decide which direction you will take. Grow up, fall in love, live happily ever after. Its what we all imagine, what we all hope for. The older you get, the less you have of that. You make decisions that will forever impact your happily ever after. You don't plan the falling out of love, the pain, the hurt that life throws in just because it can. But it happens, and there isn't a thing you can do about it. You move on, you live, you try your best to keep that happy ending within sight. Except for some people, life tosses them so much loss that they forget about that ending. Something that had happened to Zen. If she'd grown to understand why her parents left her to come to America, why her love had left her with just a note , to stop blaming herself, to move forward, she would have been fine and life would have proceeded the way it ought to have. But she didn't, of course. No, she had to run that one fault in her life over and over in her mind until it seemed to be the only thing in her life. And we all know guilt is a powerful emotion. Strong enough to press you so far over the edge you'll never get back. And that it did to Zehenya. Maybe that was one of those reasons why her relationship with Dimitri was so up and down. Instead of facing her flaws, she ran from them, thus causing so many more, and catching her in a never ending circle of this thing called guilt. And she never got away from it. Each day you don't deal with it, it gets worse. It all adds up. Ruining her relationships with everyone she cared about, hurting so many people in ways unimaginable, it all became one huge burden. Something that never left her mind, always sitting there pressing that one thought over and over. It is your fault. Eventually, she believed it. And once she believed it, she always believed it. After she ha ducked under his arm , he pulled her to his chest once more and she looked up at him. A smile coming to her lips. He told her if the moon was what her heart wanted then he would give it to her and for the moment she was speechless. He swept her hair behind her ear and she pressed her cheek against his palm. But of course he had to add his little cocky bit and she shook her head , pushing away. You're a old man ! I can keep up with the best and the best means you. I feel husband , that you're challenging me ? Yes ? , she quirked her eyebrow as she tilted her head to the side looking at him. When the two ran they were a beautiful sight to see and the others thought so too. Her eyes flashed a yellow and she growled. With the pups and the females ? Insults ! Are you taking shots husband. Remember I am still young , I can run circles around you Dimitri. Besides I keep up with you on my worst days. ,she sat again and a small smirk came to her lips. talking text thinking text [/style][/style] [/STYLE] |

[style=background-color:#56704B; color:#E6DDBC; padding:10px; width:430px; font-family:georgia; font-size:10px; text-align: justify;] 'What was the rising of the new sun going to bring?' The question slithered around in Dimitri's mind and he did not attempt to hide it has his brown eyes sought out Zehenya's. What was the morning going to bring for them? What was she going to feel and think when the nights events came crashing down on her. Would he hate himself for showing affection to this woman that cared nothing for him? Dimitri blinked slowly as his thoughts tortured his conscious. Breathing in deeply Dimitri paused for a moment as his whole body fought off the negative thoughts. 'Who cares what the sun brings, it has never been my friend or ally it s the moon that my heart runs for and it is the moon that brings all good things.' A rich feeling of peace rolled over Dimitri as he stood admiring his mate his heart dancing about in his chest as his eyes adjusted to the dimming light in the room. 'Tonight I will make you mine.' This thought in particular was louder then the others and the emotions followed it as his passion and longing came thrusting forth from himself. Exhaling slowly Dimitri allowed for a moments silence before he reached out with his own mind searching to read Zehenya he could feel the passion boiling in her as well, but more then that her restlessness caused even him to feel cramped in this human shell. He longed to free himself, to move through the forest without a care in the world.
When Dimitri had been younger his passion for the wolf form had taken over his mind for a while. He had remained in his wolf form for nearly three years without shifting back. He came and went but always he ran free and unchecked through the forests. It was not until he had been given a strict message from his father that he could not allow the wolf to consume him that he actually shifted back into the human form. It had been extremely painful and he had been very stiff and ungraceful in the beginning it was like learning to walk all over again. Dimitri would never forget those three years though; it honestly made him into the man he is today. He conquered the fear of the wolf in that time. He had become whole. No longer was he man and wolf he was both equally his heart was as wild and free as his canine relative but his mind was logical and strict like the human. But tonight he could feel the heart of a wolf rising up in his soul, he could hear the crying of the moon, and feel the rumbling of life in his chest.
Her voice brought him back from his forest fantasies as he looked at the insulted woman throwing insults back at him. "Challenge you my breakable lover. Never." Smirking Dimitri looked down at the woman his chocie of words precise he knew exactly how to get her riled up. Watching as her eyes flashed yellow at him he could not help but feel his own by respond with a deep growl. His eyes changing to the rich yellow of his wolf form, his pupils constricting as they took in the light of the room. "Old? How do you suppose that. My father and fathers before him all lived till they where eighty five deary, I am just starting out in life." Watching as she sat back on the bed smirking he stepped back his growl rippling through the room again. He was trying to control himself but was slowly loosing grip on his human form and he could feel the wolf surfacing. He would hate to phase in the room and make a mess of things but there where so many conflicting feelings running through his mind that he knew not what to do. A lone howl erupted close to the house and Dimitri's mind simply lost grip of the situation. The howl was a call to hunt, it was clearly directed at the pack of course he knew he had just returned so it was not him they where calling but as alpha he could join any hunt. Whining Dimitri looked up at Zehenya an apologetic look splashed across his face.
The air around him seemed to blur and snap as if someone was setting chemicals on fire, and all in a few short seconds Dimitri felt the phase come upon him. Whining with anticipation he fell down to his knees his muscles bunching and tightening. The painful part never scared him anymore but it was never a pretty thing to watch. With practice Dimitri had made his phase time close to only ten seconds but even this he considered slow. His human skin began to tear and split as a rich white coat began to push its way up, muscles and bone snapped as if they where simple sticks. Letting out a low grumble Dimitri closed his eyes willing the phase to happen faster. His body began to expand as the wolf began to appear. As the phase took over he could feel the thoughts and emotions of his pack members as they tensed at the fact that their alpha was shifting upstairs. He could not help but chuckle as some of them yipped in excitement, would their alpha be leading the hunt? No he wouldnt, he had his own hunt right in front of him. Falling back onto the cough Dimitri's wolf body lay sprawled over the cushions, however when he finally made impact with the frame he heard the sickening crunch of wood giving away. Obviously his wolf form was not made to be on furniture.
Looking up from his sprawled out position a soft chuckle escaped his open muzzle, a wolfy grin spread his lips revealing sharp canines. Pushing himself up from the couch he faced his small mate. He stood well above her head now and his body miniaturized her. He was a stricking figure however his thick long white coat matched with his sharp black nose and yellow eyes. But perhaps the most shocking was the fact that he was nearly twice the size of the largest normal wolf. Turning on Zehenya a strong predator vibe began rolling off him. "Now we shall see who is old." Ducking down his back legs tightened as he sprang towards her snapping his jaws just inches from her neck. Growling he knocked his shoulder hard into her chest intending to cause her to fall back on the bed. What was he doing? Fighting? To anyone else they would suppose so but it was obvious by his loose grin and wagging tail that it was all play, he knew what his mate could take and he hoped that she would fight back. He knew how to cure restlessness. Jumping up onto the bed beside her he growled opening his mouth and lightly pinching her forearm. "You can never better me."

She was beautiful , in and out her wolf form. She was like a breath of fresh air. She carried herself with so much pride and grace , that it was almost like a game to see who could make her submissive. But Zen didn't want any of that. She didn't want to submit to anyone. She wanted to be her own wolf or woman. The laws that her parents had and that her grandparents had weren't her views. Sometimes she wouldn't have mind if she had been single for ever. She had dreams of traveling to different countries. Socializing with important people , making some kind of a difference. Maybe if she had known that her life had already been planned out for her she would have ran away alone a long time ago. If she had known that she would be living her life for other people then maybe she would have taken those steps. Every day she woke up thinking about how her life would have been different. How much harder would it have been for her ? Some days she longed for the freedom but most days she like the place she was in , it was her ideal situation but it was home. It was where her heart was , with the back and she was trying to get to know Dimitri more. Understand him more. Maybe then she could love him ? Love was such a fickle thing and a piece of her wondered how he could love her like he did ? Or so he tried to show her. Zen had spent a lot of her time in her wolf form , she felt more comfortable then her human form. Everything was so much more peaceful too. There weren't to many things she was worried about when she shifted , neither would her mood be sour. She was the happiest then. While turned wolves ( ones who had no werewolf parents ) tried to understand the change that was going on with them , the pups like her were already being taught to embrace every side to the werewolf race. If you didn't know how to balance if , you could be consumed by one or the other. Either be consumed by the wolf , where you would know nothing else an almost never shift back to human. Or be i human form and be so worried about being labeled a monster that you curse yourself. Dimitri called her his breakable lover and she growled again , in a teasing way. Her eyes still a shade of yellow as she watched him. Listening she chuckled slightly. I am only sixty five , you've got some ... leverage on me husband , she smirked wickedly and tilted her head to the side. As for being breakable , you know this isn't true ! , she countered as she stomped her foot slightly. She could feel the need for him to shift coming from him , making her even more restless. In the next few seconds she heard the howl that they were going on a hunt and she turned her head to listen. She wanted to go so badly , turning back around as she sat on the bed she watched as Dimitri shifted. Getting antsy herself. Zen watched him for a few moments as she was in the mist of destroying their room. She laughed lightly. He was huge in his werewolf form ! He was already huge in his human form , she felt so tiny next to him sometimes but that could be because he was bigger then any other wolf in their pack. In a few quick moments he was pushing her back on the bed and nipping at her. She raise her hands to smack him away playfully. It was her turn to shift , she could feel it coming. As he lay next to her on the bed. Everything was a blur. She had gotten good at phasing like her mate. It was almost painless now and she had it done to seconds. Her white and red coat appearing where her flesh had been. She kept phasing until she was on all fours , paws in front of her as she turned her head towards Dimitri. The entire has had changed now that both their alphas were in their wolf form. Zen jumped towards him and nipped at him playfully. You always say this and you know I'll never give up. , her thoughts were loud and open enough for him to hear now. talking text thinking text [/style][/style] [/STYLE] |
